Triangle France organizes an artists in residence programme from early September to late December 2010 and from early January to late April 2011.

Triangle France is a non profit structure based in the Friche Belle de Mai, a former tobacco factory in the center of Marseilles. It has for aim to promote contemporary art through its residency program and shows and events taking place in the Friche but also in some partners places, in France or abroad.

You are invited to send your application before 15 May 2010.

Target Group

Visual artists that are suitable to the residency specifications.

Duration

  • 4 months - from September to the end of December 2010
  • 4 months - from January to late April 2011

Scholarship Value

  • Free studio of around 80 m² with DSL in Marseille, 10mn walk from the rail station and city center
  • Accommodation for €100 per month, per artist (shared apartment with the other two residents).
  • Production grant of €1000 (on presentation of receipts)
  • Logistical support (production assistance, access to computers, sound and video equipment, assistance in research of materials, techniques, partnerships...list of available equipment provided on request)

The association is not able to cover travel costs.

Send your portfolio in PDF format on CD or emilie [at] trianglefrance.org (please replace [at] with @)">by email if the PDF is less than 5 Mega Bytes (subject : residency application 2010-2011, please indicate your choice of session)

The portfolio must be composed of:

  • images of your work (maximum 15 pages)
  • text about your work
  • full resumé (CV)
  • motivation letter (Proposal of a specifi c project is not necessary)
  • a self-addressed, stamped envelope for return of mailed portfolios if required. (French postage or international reply coupons only- see below) + videos on DVD if the artist makes videos (no Quicktime format accepted)
