Scratch! 2012 – European Animation Film Festival

Scratch! - the first festival in Lecce entirely dedicated to animated shorts - is currently accepting entries for 2012. The Festival is after short animated films and videos and has two competitive categories.

Traditional, stop motion, 2D and 3D animations, as well as mixed media and visual effects works are all eligible for this festival.

The Scratch! festival includes two days of screenings open to the public free of charge.

Manuel Rivera-Ortiz 2012 Photography Grant Competition

The Manuel Rivera-Ortiz Foundation for International Photography is currently seeking to award one outstanding global, social documentary photographer with a grant of $5,000 to be utilized in the production or completion of a social documentary project.

Last year’s call for entries garnered an astonishing 184 entries representing some 45 countries around the world. This year the organizers hope to do even better by gaining even entries from Latin America, and from Sub-Saharan Africa.

Photographers of all nationalities who are 18 years of age or older are eligible to apply.
