DepicT! wants filmmakers worldwide to show their stuff in just a minute and a half. DepicT! is open to anyone, on any budget, from anywhere in the world working in any genre. DepicT! is open to short films of all production techniques, including animation, documentary, drama, experimental or artist film and hybrid work.

Up Close & Spineless Photographic Competition 2010

The Up Close & Spineless competition challenges amateur and professional photographers to capture spectacular images of invertebrates (animals without a backbone). Judging criteria will be based upon clarity of detail, interesting behaviour, aesthetics and composition.

The Australian Museum also encourages participants to seek out unusual and rare species.

The Prize for all four categories, Professional Open, Primary and High School, is a cash prize to the value of $600.

2011 Dam Short Film Festival

The Dam Short Film Festival welcomes short films with any content and in any style, whether it be live-action, documentary, or animation. That said, entries must be 40 minutes or under in length. The year of production, however, does not matter.

Selected films will be screened on the 7th annual Dam Short Film Festival which will take place in Nevada, from 9 - 12 February 2011.

The 2011 Dam Short Film Festival will screen over 100 short films from all corners of the world.

The annual eVolo Skyscraper Competition is a forum for the discussion, development, and promotion of innovative concepts for vertical density. It examines the relationship between the skyscraper and the natural world, the skyscraper and the community, and the skyscraper and the city.

The aim of this competition is to redefine what we understand as a skyscraper and initiate a new architectural discourse of economic, environmental, intellectual, and perceptual responsibility that could ultimately modify our cities and improve our way of life.
