The Dieline Package Design Awards presented by Inwork is a worldwide competition devoted exclusively to the art of brand packaging. Launched in 2009, The Dieline Package Design Awards quickly rose to be the nation's leading package design competition, with over 800 entries submitted from all over the world in its first year.

In the 2012 edition, 38 winners across 12 different categories will be awarded a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place Dieline Award, and one special winner will receive a one-of-a-kind Best of Show award.

The Epson International Pano Awards 2012

It's time for another edition of the Epson International Photographic Pano Awards! The 2012 competition is now open for all professional and amateur photographers with a combined prize pool of over US $25,000 in cash and prizes.

The Epson International Pano Awards showcases the work of panoramic photographers worldwide and is the largest competition for panoramic photography.

The 2011 competition saw 3586 images submitted from 985 photographers in 62 countries.

Astra Film Festival (AFF) is a major event in the European film community. The Festival is located in Sibiu – Romania, and it is unique in this part of Europe. Besides the four AFF Competition Sections, it offers a variety of programs showing the diversity and the current tendencies of documentary film.

AFF Sibiu is the place to see great documentaries, to feel the pulse of Romanian and Eastern European documentary film production, meet fellow-filmmakers from around the world, debate upon major issues faced by documentarists while exposing real life and real people on the big screen, and interact with professionals and with an enthusiastic audience.

Prizes in total amount of €25,000 will be awarded to the authors of the winning films.

The 2012 DC Shorts Film Festival Competitions

The 2012 DC Shorts Film Festival opens up for entries in its annual film and screenwriting competitions.

DC Shorts turns the spotlight on truly independent short films, created by new and established filmmakers in an era when the art of filmmaking is opening to everyone. The organizers select films from every genre for their competition screenings – with a special focus on films created by metropolitan Washington, DC-based directors and writers.

The festival is open to filmmakers around the world. Last year, DC Shorts received hundreds of submissions from 42 nations and showcased 145 films from 23 countries in 17 unique showcases to a combined audience of over 7,200 people.

Art Kudos 2012 – Juried Art Competition + Exhibition

Art Kudos, an annual international juried competition that serves to recognize and honor excellence in the visual arts, is now accepting entries for the 2012 Art Kudos online competition!

Call for Entries: 2012 Adobe Design Achievement Awards

Adobe has recently announced the call for entries for the 2012 Adobe Design Achievement Awards (ADAA)! As most of you probably already know, the Awards celebrate innovative students and faculty members from all over the world for their achievements using the dynamic combination of technology and the creative arts.

Students are invited to compete in 13 categories, including Game Design and Development, as well as Application Development and Mobile Design. For the second consecutive year, the ADAA will also recognize teaching excellence through three categories designed specifically for higher education instructors.

Since the ADAA competition began in 2001, nearly 25,000 students from 73 countries have been involved; in 2011, a record 4,600 entries were submitted.
