Unfixed – Multi-platform Project

Unfixed is a project that explores the relation between photography, postcolonial perspectives and contemporary art. It includes an exhibition, symposium, workshop, artist commission-residency, and a resulting publication. The title refers to the unfixed nature of photography. It explores the elusive “truth” of photography and its relationship to ideas of ethnicity, culture and identity in contemporary art.

Scholars, artists, writers and professionals are invited to submit proposals for visual and/or textual presentations or papers on topics relating to Unfixed.

Emerge 2010 – London Design Festival

Emerge is the the original graphic design graduate showcase of the London Design Festival.

After an incredibly successful first year with over 1,000 visitors to the emerge exhibition and events and many featured graduates picking up freelance work, internships and even jobs from their involvement in the exhibition, emerge is back to do it all over again!

Emerge will be asking up to 15 graphic design graduates to design a poster to be installed in underground stations around east London. This is an opportunity for maximum exposure, not to be missed!

Romania & The Arts Competition

CL!CK aims to create a mosaic of images from all corners of globe to showcase how local communities are developing.

As a CL!CK participant, your job is to stay on the look out for signs of change in your local community:

Do you see signs of climate change? Have tulips sprung early this year? An unexpected May snowfall maybe? What about economic change? Is your neighbourhood being gentrified? Are new businesses opening up? Old ones closing down? Are tourists visiting more frequently? Is FIFA affecting your community? Are new policies galvanizing citizens to fight back? Protest? Demonstrate? Is the music or art scene on the rise?
