4th Advanced Architecture Contest: City-Sense

The Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia and HP are pleased to announce the 4th Advanced Architecture Contest, on the theme of City-Sense, Shaping our environment with real-time data.

The aim of the competition is to promote online discussion and research through which to generate insights and visions, ideas and proposals that help us envisage what the city and the habitat of the 21st century will be like. The competition is open to architects, ingeniers, planners, designers and artists who want to contribute to progress in making the world more habitable.

The three teams leaders will receive cash prizes, and a one-year grant to take the Master in Advanced Architecture at IAAC.

Calendario Duemila 12 – Tapirulan Annual Illustration Contest

The Cultural Association “Tapirulan”, with the sponsorship of “Centro Fumetto Andrea Pazienza”, “Associazione Illustratori” and “Sarmede – Paese della fiaba”, is proud to announce the seventh edition of its contest for illustrators.

The purpose of the competition is to select forty authors to be included in the exhibition "Gli illustratori di Tapirulan" (The illustrators of Tapirulan), to be held in Cremona from 3 December 2011 to 29 January 2012. All forty illustrations selected by the jury will be published in a catalog and 12 of them also on Tapirulan's Calendar for 2012.

This time Tapirulan is calling for artworks on the theme of "Privacy".

Cities can be made more sustainable by using eco-friendly products and implementing innovative energy and infrastructure solutions. With the "Changing Your City for the Better" Contest, Siemens wants to hear and see your story on how sustainable cities can become a reality.

In this Zooppa contest you're invited to create a short video that's exploring how improvements in sustainability, energy supply, urban infrastructure and mobility can change your city, or any city, around the world for the better.

For this project, Siemens is looking for contributions from around the world. Videos may be in any language – though you will need to submit an English language text transcript with your video.
