So far, more than 6500 artists from 128 countries have taken part in the competition. These figures are indicative of the scope and importance of the award.

The competition is open to professional and amateur cartoonists from all over the world.

Call for Entries: 2012 Adobe Design Achievement Awards

Adobe has recently announced the call for entries for the 2012 Adobe Design Achievement Awards (ADAA)! As most of you probably already know, the Awards celebrate innovative students and faculty members from all over the world for their achievements using the dynamic combination of technology and the creative arts.

Students are invited to compete in 13 categories, including Game Design and Development, as well as Application Development and Mobile Design. For the second consecutive year, the ADAA will also recognize teaching excellence through three categories designed specifically for higher education instructors.

Since the ADAA competition began in 2001, nearly 25,000 students from 73 countries have been involved; in 2011, a record 4,600 entries were submitted.
