DepicT! wants filmmakers worldwide to show their stuff in just a minute and a half. DepicT! is open to anyone, on any budget, from anywhere in the world working in any genre. Just make sure your super short is distinctive, imaginative and engaging to be in with a chance of winning some priceless industry exposure and exclusive prizes.

DepicT! is open to short films of all production techniques, including animation, documentary, drama, experimental or artist film and hybrid work.

DepicT! is a Watershed Project as part of the Encounters International Film Festival.

2011 Dam Short Film Festival

The Dam Short Film Festival welcomes short films with any content and in any style, whether it be live-action, documentary, or animation. That said, entries must be 40 minutes or under in length. The year of production, however, does not matter.

Selected films will be screened on the 7th annual Dam Short Film Festival which will take place in Nevada, from 9 - 12 February 2011.

The 2011 Dam Short Film Festival will screen over 100 short films from all corners of the world.

Directors Circle Scriptwriting Competition 2010

The Directors Circle Scriptwriting Competition strives to discover scriptwriters and to transform their dreams into reality through discovery, international recognition, and career development.

The competition accept submissions internationally of scripts of all genres including documentary, horror, experimental, animation, Religious/Spiritual and Gay/Lesbian.

This competition is open to everyone, however script must not have been previously optioned, purchased, or currently be in production or previously produced.

Osaka Asian Film Festival 2011 International Competition

Osaka Asian Film Festival, held 5 - 13 March 2011, is launching an international competition section for the first time, and is accepting entries from now until 13 November 2010. Osaka Asian Film Festival is one of the newest international film festivals in Japan.

In addition to films (fiction, documentary, animation) made in Asia, films related to Asian people or Asian countries are also eligible for entry, even if the films are made outside Asia by non-Asian filmmakers.

Short films (less than 60 minutes) are not eligible for the section.

Vox Feminae Film Festival 2010

Vox Feminae Film Festival (VFFF) seeks to find, exhibit and award films that explore aspects of gender, gender roles & identities. Subjects include gender equity, gender non-stereotypes, relationships, feminist and lgbtiq themes.

Artists of all gender identities are eligible to enter. Narrative, documentary, animation and experimental films and videos of all lengths are accepted.

Audience votes will decide on $500 cash prize.

Tricky Women 2011 Animation Festival

Tricky Women is the first and only festival of animated film that is dedicated exclusively to animation by women. Since 2001 it has been held in Vienna each March.

The festival offers an international competition of animated short films realised by female artists and produced in 2009 or 2010.

Each filmmaker, producer or distributor may submit as many films as they like. Each film submitted must be accompanied by an entry form and sent on a separate tape or reel. No films entered in prior Tricky Women Festivals shall be admitted.
