                <hr /><p>The Dam Short Film Festival welcomes short films with any content and in any style, whether it be live-action, documentary, or animation. That said, entries must be 40 minutes or under in length. The year of production, however, does not matter.</p>
<p>Selected films will be screened on the 7th annual Dam Short Film Festival which will take place in Nevada, from 9 - 12 February 2011.</p>
<p>The 2011 Dam Short Film Festival will screen over 100 short films from all corners of the world.<br />

<h3 id="objective">Objective</h3>
<p>The following short film categories are open for entries:</p>
<ul>
<li>Best Drama,</li>
<li>Best Documentary,</li>
<li>Best Animation,</li>
<li>Best Sci-Fi / Horror,</li>
<li>Best Comedy,</li>
<li>Best Nevada Filmmaker,</li>
<li>Best Student, and</li>
<li>Audience Favorite.</li>
</ul>
<p>The Student category is open to students only. The submitted film must have been created while the film's director or directors were enrolled at a school, college, or university. Proof of enrollment, such a copy of a student I.D., must be included with the submission. If the director is not enrolled at the time of submission, or has graduated, proof of past enrollment must be submitted.</p>
<p>The Nevada Filmmaker category is open to any short that was created while the director or directors were residents of Nevada. Proof of residency, such a copy of a driver's license, must be included with the submission.</p>

<p>All award-winners will be chosen by audience votes through a unique and accurate "voting chip" method. There will be no guest jurists for the 2011 festival.</p>
<h3 id="rules">Rules</h3>
<ul>
<li>NTSC DVD or PAL DVD preview copies may be submitted for festival consideration. Selected films, however, must provide one of the following NTSC exhibition formats: BetaSP, DVCam, HDV, miniDV, or DVD. PAL DVD exhibition copies are also acceptable.</li>
<li>Entries must be 40 minutes or under in length.</li>
<li>Exhibition copies must arrive at the festival office by 15 January 2011, so that they may be screened during the festival, 9 - 12 February 2011.</li>
<li>Non-English language films must be subtitled in English, or contain minimal dialog.</li>
<li>No submission materials will be returned. There are no exceptions.</li>
<li>Selected films will be responsible for the insured shipping of the exhibition copy to the festival.</li>
<li>Please keep in mind that the Dam Short Film Festival rarely programs short films that would receive an R or NC-17 rating if shown in a regular theater.</li>
<li>Upon selection, filmmakers are required to provide a minimum of 2 high-resolution digital stills from their film, plus 2 additional NTSC DVD, or PAL DVD preview copies.</li>
<li>The festival organizers reserve the right to include selected films in any category deemed appropriate.</li>
<li>Organizers also reserve the right to program selected films as many times during the festival as they see fit.</li>
<li>All submission fees paid by check or money order must be in U.S. funds. Films submitted without the correct payment will be disqualified.</li>
<li>By submitting to the 2011 Dam Short Film Festival, submitter gives express permission to the Dam Short Film Society to include the submitted film in the 2011 Mini-Film Market (where the film may be viewed by attending press, filmmakers, and other VIPs).</li>
</ul>

<p>All award-winners will be chosen by audience votes through a unique and accurate "voting chip" method. There will be no guest jurists for the 2011 festival.</p>
<h3 id="rules">Rules</h3>
<ul>
<li>NTSC DVD or PAL DVD preview copies may be submitted for festival consideration. Selected films, however, must provide one of the following NTSC exhibition formats: BetaSP, DVCam, HDV, miniDV, or DVD. PAL DVD exhibition copies are also acceptable.</li>
<li>Entries must be 40 minutes or under in length.</li>
<li>Exhibition copies must arrive at the festival office by 15 January 2011, so that they may be screened during the festival, 9 - 12 February 2011.</li>
<li>Non-English language films must be subtitled in English, or contain minimal dialog.</li>
<li>No submission materials will be returned. There are no exceptions.</li>
<li>Selected films will be responsible for the insured shipping of the exhibition copy to the festival.</li>
<li>Please keep in mind that the Dam Short Film Festival rarely programs short films that would receive an R or NC-17 rating if shown in a regular theater.</li>
<li>Upon selection, filmmakers are required to provide a minimum of 2 high-resolution digital stills from their film, plus 2 additional NTSC DVD, or PAL DVD preview copies.</li>
<li>The festival organizers reserve the right to include selected films in any category deemed appropriate.</li>
<li>Organizers also reserve the right to program selected films as many times during the festival as they see fit.</li>
<li>All submission fees paid by check or money order must be in U.S. funds. Films submitted without the correct payment will be disqualified.</li>
<li>By submitting to the 2011 Dam Short Film Festival, submitter gives express permission to the Dam Short Film Society to include the submitted film in the 2011 Mini-Film Market (where the film may be viewed by attending press, filmmakers, and other VIPs).</li>

<p>The Directors Circle Scriptwriting Competition offers a <strong>$5,000</strong> cash award to our first place winner of the 2010 competition among other prizes. The winning script will be forwarded to agents and industry professionals for consideration.</p>
<p>All competition winners, runners-up, and finalists will earn the chance to have their scripts read by established production companies and agents in LA and NY.</p>

<li>All genres are accepted.</li>
<li>Must be 18 years of age.</li>
<li>Scripts must be submitted in English.</li>
<li>Feature Length Scripts should be between 80 (minimum) and 125 (maximum) pages not including the title page.</li>
<li>Short Length Scripts should be between 1 (minimum) and 50 (maximum) pages not including the title page.</li>
<li>Scripts should be properly formatted. Print on white paper using only 12 pt. Courier, or 12 pt. Courier Final Draft fonts.</li>
<li>All submitted submissions become property of the Directors Circle Scriptwriting Competition and will not be returned. At the end of the competition, the Directors Circle will destroy all screenplays.</li>
<li>With the exception of the 10 finalists, rewritten/corrected pages <strong>will not</strong> be accepted once the entry has been received.</li>
<li>Script submissions must be postmarked by deadline dates.</li>
<li>Scripts must not have been previously optioned, purchased, in production or produced.</li>
<li>Any script that becomes purchased, optioned or put into production before the final deadline will be eliminated from competition with no entry fee refund.</li>
<li>Scripts written as adaptations of other works must have secured rights before being submitted.</li>
<li>Scripts must be original work of the author.</li>
<li>Multiple authorship is allowed. If the script wins, the writers will divide the prize.</li>

<p>In addition to films (fiction, documentary, animation) made in Asia, films related to Asian people or Asian countries are also eligible for entry, even if the films are made outside Asia by non-Asian filmmakers.</p>
<p>Short films (less than 60 minutes) are not eligible for the section.<br />

<h3 id="objective">Objective</h3>
<p>Submit film entries to the international competition. All films selected and invited for the competition must meet the following conditions:</p>

<li>Must be produced in Asian countries and regions or be Asia-related.</li>
<li>Must be in 35mm, 16mm or video.</li>
<li>Must not have been released publicly in Japan, including theater screenings and/or TV broadcasts, prior to 20 March 2011.</li>
<li>Must be completed after 1 January 2009.</li>
<li>Must be longer than 60 minutes.</li>
</ul>
<h3 id="prizes">Prizes</h3>
<p>There are two official awards, the Grand Prize and the Most Promising Talent Award, with cash prizes of <strong>JPY 500,000</strong> and <strong>JPY 200,000</strong> respectively, as well as other awards.</p>
<p>The Grand Prize will be awarded to the best film in the competition Section, and the Most Promising Talent Award will be given to an artist involved in one of the films screened in the section. Any directors, producers, actors/actresses, directors of photography, production designers, sound designers or other artists who show remarkable talent in a participating film are qualified for the award.</p>

<p>There are two official awards, the Grand Prize and the Most Promising Talent Award, with cash prizes of <strong>JPY 500,000</strong> and <strong>JPY 200,000</strong> respectively, as well as other awards.</p>
<p>The Grand Prize will be awarded to the best film in the competition Section, and the Most Promising Talent Award will be given to an artist involved in one of the films screened in the section. Any directors, producers, actors/actresses, directors of photography, production designers, sound designers or other artists who show remarkable talent in a participating film are qualified for the award.</p>
<h3 id="rules">Rules</h3>
<ul>
<li>Films related to Asian people or Asian countries are also eligible for entry, even if the films are made outside Asia by non-Asian filmmakers.</li>
<li>Short films (less than 60 minutes) are not eligible for the section.</li>
<li>All expenses for the shipping of materials to OAFF are the responsibility of the applicants.</li>
<li>Applicants are responsible for all necessary copyright clearances for their film.</li>
<li>Video cassettes/DVDs submitted to OAFF will not be returned to the applicants.</li>

<li>It is strictly prohibited to use a music piece in your film without its authors permission and agreement and you are fully responsible for the possible breaking the copyright laws.</li>
<li>Film may have been presented in other film festivals.</li>
<li>Each film director may send 3 films at maximum to each of the sections.</li>
<li>Only the first three films in each of the sections will be awarded.</li>
<li>One entry form is required per one film to be submitted.</li>

<p>Submit TV program or film entries in the official categories.</p>
<p>Select the category that most closely relates to your submission's type of program, primary purpose or target audience. You may enter the same production or program in multiple categories, including program categories and technique categories.</p>
<p>Individual entries are evaluated for their intrinsic merits – without comparing them with others. Each entry is, in effect, in competition with itself, and is measured by our online jury of experts using an industry-accepted standard of excellence.</p>
<p>The categories for Television &amp; Film are divided into two main groups:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Submissions which are distributed/transmitted</strong>: News Programs, News Reports/Features, Entertainment Programs, Entertainment Specials, Promotions, Station IDs, Opens, Documentaries, Music Videos, Online Programs, Student productions/webisodes and categories for arts/techniques.</li>
<li><strong>Submissions which are exhibited/screened</strong>: Feature Films, Documentary Films, Short Films, Industrial Productions, Corporate Presentations, Business Theater, Event Venue Productions, Home Videos, Education/Information Productions, and categories for crafts/techniques.</li>

<p>Grand, Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners will be announced at an awards ceremony held in New York in March 2011.</p>

                <hr /><p>The New York Festivals<sup>®</sup> International Television &amp; Film Awards recognize "The World's Best Work" in news, sports, documentary, information and entertainment programming as well as in music videos, infomercials, promotion spots, openings and ID's.</p>
<p>Now entering its 54th year, the total number of entries continues to grow, now representing over 35 different countries, making the NYF<sup>®</sup> Television &amp; Film Awards one of the most well known and widely respected competitions on the globe. In 2010, NYF<sup>®</sup> combined both the Television Programming Awards and the Film &amp; Video Awards, thus creating one of the world's largest international competitions dedicated to both the TV and film industries.</p>
<p>New categories mirror today's trends in world-wide programming and encourage the next generation of story-tellers.<br />

<h3 id="objective">Objective</h3>
<p>Submit TV program or film entries in the official categories.</p>
<p>Select the category that most closely relates to your submission's type of program, primary purpose or target audience. You may enter the same production or program in multiple categories, including program categories and technique categories.</p>
<p>Individual entries are evaluated for their intrinsic merits – without comparing them with others. Each entry is, in effect, in competition with itself, and is measured by our online jury of experts using an industry-accepted standard of excellence.</p>
<p>The categories for Television &amp; Film are divided into two main groups:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Submissions which are distributed/transmitted</strong>: News Programs, News Reports/Features, Entertainment Programs, Entertainment Specials, Promotions, Station IDs, Opens, Documentaries, Music Videos, Online Programs, Student productions/webisodes and categories for arts/techniques.</li>
<li><strong>Submissions which are exhibited/screened</strong>: Feature Films, Documentary Films, Short Films, Industrial Productions, Corporate Presentations, Business Theater, Event Venue Productions, Home Videos, Education/Information Productions, and categories for crafts/techniques.</li>
</ul>
<h3 id="prizes">Prizes</h3>
<p>Grand, Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners will be announced at an awards ceremony held in New York in March 2011.</p>
<p>New York Festivals<sup>®</sup> winners may refer in advertising and publicity to the fact that they are a New York Festivals® winner and, for one year after the award was bestowed may use a replica of the New York Festivals<sup>®</sup> medal or the New York Festivals<sup>®</sup> logo in such advertising. A ® registration mark must accompany the use of the image.</p>
<h3 id="rules">Rules</h3>
<ul>
<li>To be eligible for the 2011 competition, entries must have been first produced, released, exhibited, screened, aired or shown online between 1 September 2009 and 1 October 2010, the final deadline.</li>
<li>All shipping costs, insurance, customs duties and handling fees for all entries must be prepaid by the sender.</li>

GIRAF plays an essential role in the promotion, education and appreciation of independent animation from around the world, exposing hungry local audiences to the best animated content from at home and abroad.</p>
<p>GIRAF6, presented by Quickdraw Animation will take place from 3 - 7 November 2010 at the Plaza Theatre in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.<br />

<li>Preview DVD's must be labled with title of entry and entrant's name.</li>
<li>Productions must be Independently produced, with the Director retaining complete editorial control.</li>
<li>Animations produced within the past 3 years are eligible to enter.</li>
<li>Maximum running time is 20 minutes.</li>
<li>Selected works can be screened from 35mm, but otherwise will be submitted digitally following precise guidelines given by the organization. Submission of an entry indicates acceptance of all regulations, a guarantee that a screening copy (in proper format) will be made available for the dates of the festival, and authorization to publicly exhibit the entered work at both GIRAF6 and Best of GIRAF6 screenings.</li>
