                <hr /><p>Transmediale in collaboration with Mozilla have announced the creation of the new Open Web Award 2011 a special third platform for creative excellence alongside the transmediale Award 2011 and the Vilém Flusser Theory Award 2011.</p>
<p>The transmediale Open Web Award is a new platform for radical, creative and innovative art works and projects that are on the web and about the web, use open and free technology and incite participation and/or collaboration.</p>
<p>They can be critical, celebratory or both.<br />

<p>The call '2010 Bio-Graphics' is open to graphic designers, professional or not, of any age and nationality. Participants are invited to submit their work dealing with the call topic in the form of a poster.<br />

<p>Submit poster designs on the following topic.</p>
<p><strong>Imagine a future scenario in which biodiversity will be a focal value of society</strong>. Rediscovering traditions, connected to family and country habits, to people's common sense, to the value of sharing, and to the singularity of local areas (composed by human communities and environment) can be regarded as a tool for preserving biodiversity. The technological progress of the future society will enable mankind to recover traditions of past generations.</p>
<p>Unlike what is happening in the last few decades, with reckless consumerism endangering our environment, the integration of technology and traditions will promote the respect of natural environment.</p>

<p>The call '2010 Bio-Graphics' is open to graphic designers, professional or not, of any age and nationality. Participants are invited to submit their work dealing with the call topic in the form of a poster.<br />

<p><strong>Imagine a future scenario in which biodiversity will be a focal value of society</strong>. Rediscovering traditions, connected to family and country habits, to people's common sense, to the value of sharing, and to the singularity of local areas (composed by human communities and environment) can be regarded as a tool for preserving biodiversity. The technological progress of the future society will enable mankind to recover traditions of past generations.</p>
<p>Unlike what is happening in the last few decades, with reckless consumerism endangering our environment, the integration of technology and traditions will promote the respect of natural environment.</p>

Some people see situations with optimism (Franklin – glass half full), and some see situations with pessimism (glass half empty).</p>
<p>Positive Posters would like you to design a positive poster in response to this year's theme. Judges will be looking for original concepts, lateral thinking and inspired designs. The poster will be up in Melbourne streets, so keep in mind it should also standout against the city landscape.<br />

<p>This project should promote the ‘poster' as a mean of expressing ideas among the European and worldwide youth.<br />

<p>Design posters that promote visual solutions of environmental problems on the main topic: "<strong>be ecoLOGIC</strong>".</p>

<li>Second Prize: €1000</li>
<li>Third Prize: €600</li>
</ul>
<p>Also, the jury will select 7 honorable mentions for the best posters that communicate the ecoLOGIC issue.</p>
<p>The 3 winning and 7 honorable poster mentions, from the 3<sup>rd</sup> ISPC "be ecoLOGIC” will be exposed to the billboards and posters in Skopje and in several cities in Europe, where the post review exhibitions are planned.</p>

<li>The competition is only to art and design students registered at an educational institution for art and design including disciplines such as fine arts, graphic design, communication design, visual communication, media design and other related disciplines. There's no limit for nationality.</li>
<li>Students may either register for the competition individually or their school/university may enter them for the competition provided that the student has given his/her consent.</li>
<li>Team entries are allowed; teams may consist a maximum of 3 students. If a team entry wins the competition, the prize will be equally split among all team members.</li>
<li>Each participant / group may enter a maximum of three poster visuals.</li>
<li>The poster should preferably be in English, German or French; however, poster texts in all other languages will be accepted.</li>
<li>All used fonts should be in outlines or rasterized.</li>
<li>No copyrighted material may be used for the design.</li>
<li>The organizers reserve the right to refuse entries they consider morally, politically or religiously offensive.</li>
<li>All posters become the property of the International Student Poster Competition, Skopje.</li>

<p>The overall winner "<strong>Best of the World</strong>" for Wolda Professional and Wolda Talent is rewarded for free with prestigious design objects created specially for Wolda: two pieces of the "Best of the World" trophy and two pieces of the award certificate (one for the agency and one for the logo's client).</p>
<p>The rest of the winning entries can receive award trophies and certificates ONLY upon request and payment.</p>
<p>Wolda awards are true symbols of creative achievement. They're not easy to come by, either. Earning a Wolda award is a true accomplishment. Even the simple certificates represent something worth hanging on the wall rather than just a sheet of paper to file away.</p>
<h3 id="rules">Rules</h3>

<li>Wolda is open to graphic designers, studios, agencies and their clients worldwide.</li>
<li>Wolda is also open to students, who participate in a dedicated area called Wolda Talent. Students' work will be judged by the same criteria and jury as the professional work submitted.</li>
<li>Any logo designed, printed, published or visible online between 1 January 2010 and 31 December 2010 is eligible for Wolda '10. If the logo is part of a system, you can subscribe the entire system, at a special rate.</li>
<li>All entrants may submit as many works as they wish.</li>
<li>All the entries must be original creations or property of the designer, design firm or individual submitting the design piece.</li>

<h3 id="how_to">How to enter?</h3>

<li><strong>Create an account</strong>
<p>After having read the <a href="http://www.wolda.org/download?file=official_rules.pdf">Official Rules</a>, choose <a href="http://www.wolda.org/enter/">+ enter now</a> and fill in the contact data form for the person entering the submissions. You will then receive an email containing a link to click on in order to activate your account.</li>
<li><strong>Submit entry/entries</strong>
<p>Log on to your account area whenever you want, using your username and password. This is where your list of entries will appear. Fill in all the necessary details including the logo name, the client, description of the logo and the name of the designer(s). If you decide to leave the website, you will be taken to this stage when you log back in.</li>
<li><strong>Payment</strong>
<p>Make payment by credit card or choose another payment method (PayPal, cheque or bank transfer). You'll get confirmation of a successful transaction and an invoice for your records (automatically generated on payment). Wolda offers you the chance to register your entry and make payment online with no shipping costs.</p>
<p>Please do not send original work or digital versions on CD. Offline subscriptions will be accepted only in case of technical problems.</li>
