ADA 2010 Summer Semi Annual Design Contest

The American Design Awards is putting out a call for entries, to all graphic and web designers worldwide to take part in the 2010 Summer Semi Annual Design Contest.

Awards will be presented to the top three finishers in each of the twenty two design categories, bringing the total of winners to 66.

Furthermore, this year the American Design Awards is giving away $2,500 to the top score getter of the entire competition, as well as $1000 and $500 to the second and third place finishers.

Tapirulan’s Calendario Duemilla 11 Contest

Cultural Association “Tapirulan”, with the sponsorship of “Centro Fumetto Andrea Pazienza” and “Associazione Illustratori”, is proud to announce the sixth edition of the contest for illustrators.

Purpose of the competition is to select the thirty authors to be included in the exhibition “Gli illustratori di Tapirulan” (The illustrators of Tapirulan), to be held in Cremona from November 13 th 2010 to January 16 th 2011.

All thirty illustrations selected by the jury will be published on the Calendar of year 2011, which is, as well, the catalogue of the exhibition.

2011 Adelaide Fringe Poster Competition

The Adelaide Fringe is giving artists, designers, students and amateurs alike the chance of a lifetime to design the 2011 Fringe poster.

For the first time, all design submissions will be made online and entrants are encouraged to incorporate a range of mediums such as animation, sculpture, photography, painting and computer-generated and digital imagery.

The 2011 Adelaide Fringe will be held from 18 February to 13 March 2011. Attended by audiences of over 1 million, the Fringe showcases thousands of independent artists participating in more than 700 events.
