Winners Announcement Expected: November 2010

The Hungarian Center for Contemporary Architecture (KÉK) invites architects, designers and institutions to participate in the 2nd International Architectural Model Festival with physical models of museums and exhibition venues.

All built projects, visions, competition entries, research and experimental projects that were made between 1995 and 2010 and are related to the theme of the Festival are welcome.

The 2nd International Architectural Model Festival will take part in Műcsarnok/Kunsthalle Budapest from 13-16 November 2010.

Objective

The 2010 Architectural Model Festival investigates the relationship of designer practices and cultural infrastructure.

Entries should use physical models as their key presentation tool. Within this range all combinations are possible from conceptual and working models through presentation and detail models to prototypes etc.

The festival intends to highlight the model as a design tool, thereby also opening up the design process to the wider public.

Prizes

The selected works will be shown, presented and published in the subsequent catalogue with the most significant museum projects of the last two decades. The final layout of the festival presentations will be worked out with the collaboration of the project authors and the curators of the show.
