The “Music Against Poverty” contest offers young citizens from the European Union an opportunity to get their message out by submitting a song on the fight against poverty around the world. The song has to contain a message on the fight against poverty or development cooperation.

Young Europeans are being encouraged to get involved and give their very personal contribution to help reach the Millennium Development Goals commitment.

The winners of the contest will get a professional studio recording of their song and will be invited to perform during the European Development Days in Brussels in December 2010.

The Biennial of Light Art Austria 2010 is an exhibition of contemporary art dealing with light and is inaugurated in 2010.

This first Biennial for Light Art in Austria wants to generate a cut surface between society and art. The opening hours of the Biennial are 24/7, it is open around the clock. The possibility to have a look at a rising artwork, depends on fortune. Only the artists know where and when their artwork is installed, and how long it is exhibited.

Artists from all over the world are invited to show their light projects in streets, squares and public buildings, trying to empathise with the places and the people who frequent them or simply work there.

European Fashion Award FASH 2011

The competition targets especially talented design students from all sectors of design, in particular from the segments of textile and fashion design. Students attending a European university or fashion institute in their 4th semester or later are eligible to enter. Students from outside of Europe are also permitted to enter the competition. However, there are special guidelines, which will be provided upon request.

Eligible entries include designs by individuals, or, as particularly welcomed by the organizers, by inter-disciplinary teams, and/or cooperations with companies.

Undergraduate and graduate or bachelor and master projects are also eligible, provided their subject conforms to the tasks set in this competition, and they were compiled in the year 2010. Projects that are entered should not have been published yet anywhere else.
