Tricky Women 2011 Animation Festival

Tricky Women is the first and only festival of animated film that is dedicated exclusively to animation by women. Since 2001 it has been held in Vienna each March.

The festival offers an international competition of animated short films realised by female artists and produced in 2009 or 2010.

Each filmmaker, producer or distributor may submit as many films as they like. Each film submitted must be accompanied by an entry form and sent on a separate tape or reel. No films entered in prior Tricky Women Festivals shall be admitted.

Digital Photographer of the Year Awards 2010

Digital Photographer and Samsung are joining forces to launch the fourth annual awards, with better prizes and categories than ever before! The Awards are open to anyone over 18 years of age.

In contrast to previous years, the format of the awards for 2010 will see a brand new competition category launched in each issue of the Imagine Publishing magazine. There will be six photographic categories in total – each designed to push the creativity of photographers.

The overall winner for the whole competition will win this amazing bundle: a Samsung NX10 + 18 - 55 OIS lens + 30mm Pancake lens, a 50 - 200mm f4.0 - 5.6 OIS lens and a SEF42A flash gun.

Azyl Short Film Festival 2010

Azyl Short Film Festival is calling for one and five minute short films for its 2010 selection contests. Fiction, animation, experiment films or musical clips can be submitted.

Submission are open to any citizen of the European countries without age limit. Film professionals as well as amateurs are eligible to enter.

All nominated films will be screened in full quality at IFF Bratislava on the end of November.

Milthon 2010 – European Video Game Creation Awards

Each year, parallel to the Paris Game Festival, the Milthon awards celebrate the best video games and their creators. Dedicated to the recognition of video games, the Milthon awards are true to a long tradition of artistic awards.

The organization committee gathers on a yearly basis a jury of nine VIPs and professionals from the industry that is renewed each year. Presided over by a recognized creator, the Milthon jury is tasked with selecting the game developers whose work and creativity stood out.

The recipients are awarded the Milthon trophy, named after the sculptor who crafted this splendid bronze statuette.

Now in its third year, the FotoWeek DC International Awards Competition continues to innovate and find new ways to engage photographers around the world. Highlights for 2010 include a new Mobile Photo category, special price breaks for multiple submissions and a focus on Environmental Conservation, in celebration of the International Year of Biodiversity.
