Now in its 39th year, the SIGGRAPH conference is expected to draw an estimated 25,000 professionals from five continents to Los Angeles, California.

The Best in Show Award on the SIGGRAPH's Computer Animation Festival qualifies the winner to be considered for nomination in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Best Animated Short Film category.

Pure.Photography – KL International Photoawards 2012

KL International Photoawards proudly announces the 2012 Call for Entries as of 1st December 2012. In its 4th year, for 2012 the organizers have added two Open categories to the original Portrait Category, which defined its inception in 2009.

The Kuala Lumpur Photo Awards (KLPA) 2012 is an entry-fee based photography competition open to all levels of photographers from around the world, where all entrants have the opportunity to compete on a level playing field, and judged by experienced professionals in related industries within photography, gallery, media and the arts.

Annually, since 2010, KLPA received over 1,200 entries from over 35 nations, from professionals, keen amateurs as well as newcomers to photography.

Call for Entries: The 155th International Print Exhibition 2012

The world’s oldest photographic competition, organized by The Royal Photographic Society, has put out a call for entries for 2012.

The 155th International Print competition is open to entrants until 21 March 2012 and has £6500 (approx $10,000) in cash prizes, Olympus Pen equipment and it will award medals to the winners.

First held in 1854 the Royal Photographic Society’s International Print competition and exhibition is the world’s most prestigious. Submissions reflect all aspects of photography from documentary and contemporary work through to natural history, landscape and portraiture.

Women on the World (WoW) Cartoon Awards Competition

The Rotary Club of Coffs Harbour City is inviting all women cartoonists around the world to enter the first "Women on the World" Competition.

The Women on the World International Cartoon Competition (WoW) is open to all women cartoonists worldwide over the age of 18 years. WoW is designed to offer women cartoon artists a unique opportunity to express themselves within the cartooning arena. Entries should convey a woman’s social comment on world issues today.

WoW is aimed at promoting women and women’s issues, cartooning generally and Australia’s only cartoon gallery – The Bunker Cartoon Gallery of Coffs Harbour.

IIDA Interior Design Competition (IDC) 2012

The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) is inviting all interior design professionals worldwide to submit projects to the 39th Annual Interior Design Competition! Submitted design projects must have been completed after 1 January 2010.

IIDA hosts the Interior Design Competition to reward outstanding Interior Design and encourage new ideas and techniques in the design and furnishings of interior space.

Projects are accepted in seven different categories and judged for suitability, originality and successful integration of interior finishes and furnishings.

Young Package 2012: International Competition for Packaging Design

The 17th year of the "Young Package" international competition aimed at young designers from all around the world has just been announced! Entries are now being accepted for Young Package 2012!

Young Package 2012 brings only one theme this year – the tea. The task of all participants is to pack an object related to tea drinking. It does not have to be tea leaves or tea bags. Into the competition all packages for objects inspired by tea culture, tea rooms or tea ceremonies are accepted. The packages should represent traditional drink in today´s style.

The competition is aimed at young designers up to 30 years of age. This year the special prize of Slovak Design Centre will be awarded too.

The 2012 SEGD Global Design Awards Program

The 2012 SEGD Global Design Awards are now open for entries from environmental designers, architects, students and clients. Exceptional environmental graphic design is recognized in the annual SEGD Global Design Awards Program, illustrating the pandisciplinary nature of visual communications in the built environment.

Winning projects have included complex wayfinding systems, branding and identity work, retail and interior projects, exhibition design, and public art installations.

Winners will be announced at the 2012 SEGD Conference, 8-9 June 2012 in Manhattan and Brooklyn and winning projects will be featured in the award-winning segdDESIGN magazine!
