Winners Announcement Expected: January 2011

Do you have the talent it takes to be crowned the Professional Photographer of the Year 2010? It’s a prestigious title to hold and this year, the Professional Photographer awards will be judged by an equally prestigious panel of judges. Professional Photographer is also introducing a new category this year appropriate to the world in which you work.

There are a lot of photography competitions out there, but only one will give you the title of Professional Photographer of the Year. So don’t miss out.

Objective

Submit photo entries to the following awards' categories:

  • Student of the Year
  • Advertising
  • Editorial
  • Portraiture
  • Interiors/Architecture
  • Contemporary Art
  • Still Life/Food
  • Social Reportage /Weddings
  • Travel
  • The Moving Image (New Category)

Prizes

This overall winner will be presented with the title of Professional Photographer of the Year 2010. The awards presentation night will be held at a central London location in front of an audience from the photographic industry, whom the winning entrants will have an opportunity to meet on the night.

The winners and those commended will be announced in Professional Photographer's January issue and online.

Rules

  • Participation in the Professional Photographer of the Year Awards 2010 is open to all photographers over the age of 18 except employees and principles of Professional Photographer, its affiliates, and participating sponsors.
  • Eligible participants must be natural persons and not corporate entities.
  • Only electronic entries will be accepted.
  • You can enter as many categories as you wish, but only one image per category.
  • Each category will be judged and a winner will be chosen from each and put forward to a final judging from which the overall winner will be chosen.
  • Category winners and the overall winner may be required to provide Professional Photographer with a high res version of the submitted image.
