Want to be an official, pitch-side photographer at the greatest sporting event in the world? To celebrate the launch of the revolutionary new ultra-compact α digital camera from Sony, Sony is giving you the chance to win tickets to a match at this year’s FIFA World Cup Finals in South Africa.
Teaming up the “anytime, anywhere” convenience of an ultra-compact camera with the superb picture quality and interchangeable lenses of a Digital SLR, this is the perfect camera for the World Cup. So if you want the chance to take pictures alongside the professionals, send three of your best pictures on the theme of “street scenes”.
Objective
Submit up to three of your best photographs on the theme of ‘Street scenes’. You might just end up taking pictures at the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ Finals!
Prizes
The 2 prizes will be awarded to the entrants who have, in the opinion of the judges, produced the most apt images relating to the theme of the competition.
The prize for each winner consists of:
- Return flights (economy class) for two adults to South Africa.
- Return airport transfers to the hotel.
- Match Transfers
- 2 Tickets, one for one Photographer and one guest for the Match 29 that will take place on Friday 20th June 2010 in Johannesburg.
- 3 Nights Hotel accommodations in 4 Star Hotel - Hotel accommodation for 3 consecutive nights including the night. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner throughout the 3 night 4 day stay. Any extras incurred will need to be settled by each guest individually at check out.
- Full-day Activity on day before match
- Travel Insurance (Personal Accident, Medical & Emergency Expense, Personal Baggage & Money and Personal Liability). Further details of the prize will be given to the winners upon notification.
The prize with an approximate value of $6,500 will be awarded to the 2 winners and their chosen partner of this competition. The prize trip must be taken between 29th April and 2nd May 2010. There are no cash or credit alternatives available for prize winners.
Rules
- The competition is open to all residents of the following countries:
- United Kingdom,
- Ireland,
- France,
- Russia,
- Germany,
- Spain,
- Italy,
- Poland,
- Portugal,
- Netherlands,
- Switzerland,
- Belgium,
- Austria,
- Greece,
- Turkey and
- Denmark.
- All entrants must be aged 18 or over and hold a valid passport.
- To enter, you must upload your image(s) via the following website: www.fanphotographer.sony.eu (the "Website"), following the on-screen instructions carefully. Entries should be based around the theme of ‘Street scenes’. Full information can be found on the Website.
- You may enter up to 3 images.
- By entering the competition entrants hereby accept these competition terms and conditions.
- By entering the competition, you agree and acknowledge that the Promoter is permitted to receive your registration data. All personal information will be used by the Promoter in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
- The winning photographers will be expected to take photographic content at the assigned World Cup matches using the provided Sony equipment. Each photographer will be assigned a DSLR.
- The winning photographers will be required to supply this footage to the Promoter from the location immediately after the event.
