The Biennial of Drawing exhibition will be held from 7 October 2010 till 14 November 2010 in 3 exhibition halls in Pilsen.
The Biennial of Drawing Pilsen is calling artists from all around the world to send monochrome drawings and take part in the international contest of the biennial.
Works exhibited at the VII.International Biennial of Drawing Pilsen 2010 will be judged by a qualified international jury. A Grand Prix and four other prizes will be awarded.
Objective
Submit a maximum of 5 monochrome drawings created after 2005.
Prizes
Works exhibited at the VII.International Biennial of Drawing Pilsen 2010 will be judged by a qualified international jury. This jury will also award Grand Prix.
There will be other prizes awarded:
- Prize of the President of The Pilsen Region
- Prize of the Lord Mayor of the City of Pilsen
- Prize of the Union of Visual Arts of the Czech Republic
- Prizes of the main co-organizers
The above mentioned awards will be announced and handed over to the winners at the Opening ceremony of VII. International Biennial of Drawing Pilsen 2010.
Rules
- Competition is open for all artists from all around the world.
- Monochrome drawings of maximum dimension 100×70 cm – dimension of a paper.
- Number of works : maximum 5 works, created after 2005.
- Each drawing will be judged individually.
- Sets of drawings which, when put together, produce a size larger than 100×70 cm, will not be accepted.
- Works will be returned to the authors at the organizer’s own cost.
- Artists of the awarded works agree in advance that their works may be included in a collection which will be displayed in some European and other countries.
- Official languages of the Biennial 2010: Czech and English
How to enter?
Application form must be enclosed in a package with drawings and sent to the address:

The drawings and the application form including the pay receipt must be sent by 30 May 2010 (date of postal stamp is relevant).
Entry fee
The application includes an entry fee of €50 for foreign artists and 500 Kč for Czech artists to be paid on the account:
