The 10th Andreu World Internacional Design Competition is looking for an innovative and functional design of a chair or a table. The designs presented must be suitable for mechanized mass production and must be original. All design students or designers can take part in this competition, with no age restriction. A monetary prize of €4,000 is reserved for the winner.

Design Against the Elements is a global architectural design competition meant to find a solution to the problems presented by climate change. Spurred by the devastation wreaked in the Philippines by tropical storm Ondoy (Ketsana) and driven by a powerhouse multidisciplinary group of organizations from the private, institutional, and government sectors, the project aims to draw together the most innovative minds in the fields of architecture, design, and urban planning to develop sustainable and disaster-resistant housing for communities in tropical urban settings. All amateur and professional photographers are invited to enter Crossroads’ 17th Annual Fashion Photo Contest 5th April through 30 May 2010. Winning photos will show the most attractive presentation of currently fashionable clothing. Photographs will also be evaluated on the basis of originality, creativity, composition and overall quality.
