The Europrix Multimedia Awards are Europe’s contest for young professionals and students who work on innovative projects in the field of e-contents and design, using whichever multimedia channel or platforms. You can submit entries in nine available categories that feature games, online and offline design, interactive design, graphic design, interface design, animations etc. The Europrix special award winner will get the opportunity to work with some renowned international business experts.

The purpose of the Taiwan International Student Design Competition is to encourage international creative design exchange, develop creative design talents, express the international image of Taiwan attaching great importance to creative design, and establish the international design status of Taiwan. Slovenska filantropija and Zavod Voluntariat are organizing a festival of migrant films which will run from 14 – 20 June. This festival is titled On the road (Na poti) in honour of World Refugee Day (20th of June) and will take place in different venues in Ljubljana. Film is a particularly attractive and effective communication medium suitable for reaching and involving a broad audience that is why “Na Poti” is organized – to raise awareness among the Slovene public and media for the above-mentioned themes.

Urban regeneration developer First Base has got together with Icon to launch a new competition inviting UK designers to create an interior design concept for the show apartment of a major new residential scheme launching in Summer 2010. The winner of The Printworks Showcase will not only shape the interior space of the one-bed show apartment to be unveiled at the launch event later this year, but it will also feature in a forthcoming issue of Icon magazine. A special student prize will also be awarded to the best young design talent and the overall runner-up will also receive a prize. “Reclaiming the Street” is an open-submission competition aimed at established and emerging artists, architects and skateboarders who have or wish to establish a relationship with skateboard culture. “Reclaiming the Street” is looking for unpublished and unrealised concepts for the (re)organisation of urban public spaces in order to create a place for multiple user groups including skateboarders. “Reclaiming the Street” takes the idea of skateboard culture as “homo ludens” as its starting point for building bridges between the all those who make use of the public realm. IntroductionMAMA is a platform for visual art and youth culture, based in Rotterdam. Alongside exhibitions in its own gallery space, MAMA organises projects on location in Rotterdam and further afield. MAMA offers an extensive programme of educational and supplementary projects. MAMA also undertakes research and develops new methods for reaching a broad public via art and culture.

Pour l’Instant is looking for eight residents for their annual call – Creative Stay For Young Photographers. A technical centre, fully equipped to professional standards, including a black and white darkroom and a digital workshop is reserved for their exclusive use. The Haiti Poster Project seeks limited edition sets of posters from artists, designers and design firms from around the world. The donated posters will be sold online to raise money for Doctors Without Borders. As designers, we have the collective ability to do what we love, AND to create a difference. The Haiti Poster Project has been conceived as a collective effort by the design community to unite and effect change through our work.
