Typography is a tool to give shape to a content. Readability comes first – the matter has to be comprehended as fast as possible. But how do typefaces look like whose shapes typify the content, whose characters form a statement? The exhibition Talking Type shows projects dealing with this issue. Conventional type design will be replaced by objects, installations, posters and programming that challenge the traditional use of fonts.
