Its mission is to discover and illuminate compelling documentary photography. Magnum and HP were compelled to create this award program based on the desire to illuminate and support both emerging and established photographers with vital resources. Through collaboration with Magnum’s multimedia team, feedback from jury members, and the donation of graphic arts resources, this program is unique. ObjectiveThe judges are searching for revealing imagery that illustrates dedicated compassion and intensity using photography as a medium.]]></description>

The 2011 CIC International Competition of Wildlife Photography is open to all professional or amateur photographers, individuals or members of clubs or associations of photographers. ObjectiveOnly photographs of wild animals, birds or mammals, alive and free in their natural environment can be accepted. Also, generally speaking, all types of photographs considered contrary to the ethics of wildlife photography will be excluded.]]></description>
