The Gucci Tribeca Documentary Fund provides finishing funds to feature-length documentaries which highlight and humanize issues of social importance from around the world. Funded films are driven by thoughtful and indepth storytelling, bolstered by a compelling visual approach. As mainstream media moves away from in-depth coverage of world affairs, domestic issues and social conflicts, the documentary has become an important and much needed tool to draw attention to the serious issues facing our world today. In 2011, the Gucci Tribeca Documentary Fund, through the Tribeca Film Institute, will offer grants ranging from $10,000 – $25,000.

The 21st World Festival of Animated Film – Animafest Zagreb is an international competition festival for feature animated films that will be held in Zagreb from 31 May – 05 June 2011. Animafest is fully recognized by the International Association of Animated Film (ASIFA). Animated feature films completed 2009 in 2010 or 2011 with a running time of 60 minutes or longer are eligible to apply. A Grand Prize of €3000 will be awarded to the best feature animated film.
