For the first time, the Aftermath Project is sponsoring a grant competition for a specific aftermath issue – the story of the Sahrawi people. Thanks to a generous partnership with the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, which is committed to working in conflict and post-conflict regions, the Aftermath Project will offer $65,000 in grants for work to be started by June 2011 and completed by the end of March 2012. One of those grants will be designated for an African photographer, living and working on the continent. The Aftermath Project holds a yearly grant competition open to working photographers worldwide covering the aftermath of conflict.
