Designboom in collaboration with BREIL promotes an international design competition open to applicants from every country in the world, to professionals, students, and design-enthusiasts. Participants are asked to design the next stainless steel watch in the BREIL collection. BREIL is seeking an attractive, feasible design that could have success as a real watch in the company’s line. Male, female, and unisex designs are equally welcomed. The designers of 3 winning entries will be granted with cash prize awards of €3000 each.

The Princeton Student Film & Video Festival is seeking films for its 8th annual festival. It is open to high school and college students (or home-schooled, unschooled or not in school) between the ages of 14-24 from Princeton as well as anywhere near and far. The films selected will be screened over 2 nights on Wednesday 20 July and Thursday 21 July 2011 at the Princeton Public Library, 65 Witherspoon Street, Princeton, New Jersey. The filmmakers with selected films will be invited to introduce their films and have a Q&A after the screening. The screenings are intended for a teen and adult audience.
