The 2012 European Design Awards – ED-Awards – are closing for entries by the end of February. There’s still time to submit your works. The European Design Awards is the comprehensive annual awards organization celebrating the best of graphic design, illustration and digital design in Europe. A joint effort by 15 communication design magazines from across the continent, the ED-Awards is a brilliant way to publicize your work on an international level. All designers living or working within Europe may participate. Designers in Europe may submit work done for clients outside Europe.

The Valley Film Festival (VFF) is now accepting submissions for its 2012 festival in North Hollywood, California. The premier showcase for the best new work by Valley residents, and American and international independent filmmakers, VFF provides audiences with the opportunity to discover today’s most provocative films. In addition to the juried 10 Degrees Hotter Awards for narrative feature, documentary feature, and short film, the Festival presents a collection of short films in Audience Award sections.
