Photographers are being asked to create single images that engage their vision of the romantic nature of the landscape that surrounds them. Across the globe, countries name their seasons differently, and some also vary the starting date of their seasons. The purpose of the Romantic Landscape juried competition is to extend our understanding of what contemporary landscapes look like across our world today. Three photographers whose image best demonstrates photographic excellence, and shows they have engaged deeply with the theme of romantic landscape, will be awarded a cash award. A further 22 photographers works will receive honorable mentions.

Confindustria Ceramica (the Italian Association of Ceramics) and the Italian Trade Commission, are proud to announce the 2013 Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition Call for Entries. The competition, now in its 20th year, recognizes the exceptional work of architects and designers who feature Italian ceramic tiles in their institutional, residential or commercial/hospitality spaces. The competition is open to all North American architects and interior designers. Domestic and international new construction and renovation projects completed between January 2008 and January 2013 are eligible for entry. Design Inspired and Imaginative Architecture Using Italian Ceramic TilesCommercial, Residential or Institutional new construction or renovation projects completed within the past 5 years can be submitted. Projects can be domestic or international.
