The Arlington International Film Festival (AIFF) has opened submissions for the 3rd Annual Arlington International Film Festival to be held 23-27 October, 2013 at the historic Regent Theatre, Arlington, MA, U.S.A. The 2013 Festival will showcase the best of independent films from around the world and welcomes submissions of feature length and short films with an emphasis on multi – culturalism. AIFF is much more than just a film festival; it is a celebration of cultures as well as a platform for recognizing the common global human experience.

The annual documentary photography competition, Vienna International Photo Awards 2013 – VIPA – is now open for entries. This competition has a mission to draw more attention to documentary photography in Austria and worldwide. The theme is free and submissions will be judged in 3 categories: Professional, Amateur & Smartphone. The Remember the Triangle Fire Coalition seeks entries for an international design competition to honor the victims of the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire and its legacy. Designers have the chance to wrap almost the entire façade of the New York City building where the blaze occurred. Anyone with an idea is encouraged to submit. First Prize is $5,000! The competition has been rebranded as the Illustration Awards following 36 successful years as Images. The Illustration Awards are produced to recognise exceptional work by illustrators internationally and promote illustration as an essential contributor to global visual culture. They are open to all illustrators working across all sectors using any medium. Video Art Festival Miden invites all video artists and video creators to participate in this yearʼs 9th edition of the festival. The Call for Entries for 2013 has been opened! The festival is open to every creator (individuals, groups or organizations) of any nationality and background. Submitted works should be under 10 minutes in duration. Festival Miden 2013 is scheduled to take place in Kalamata, Greece, in July 2013. Additional screenings and events will be organized in Kalamata, Athens and other cities/countries after July.
