LELO, the world’s leading designer brand for intimate lifestyle products, has recently announced the beginning of the first-ever LELO Design Award. Artists and designers from around the world are invited to propose their own concepts for new products and design concepts that play on the senses, leaving the field open to limitless possibilities and giving artists the freedom to explore the expression of their choice. 5 finalists will have their works exhibited at this year’s London Design Week. Also, there are two cash prizes to be won – €1000 each one.

Pure Arts Group annually select up to 60 artists to support and promote for a 12 month period. The Call for Entries for 2013/2014 is currently open. Selected artists are supported and promoted online, through targeted promotion, marketing and through a focused exhibition and events schedule. Pure Arts Group also offers a mentoring programme, designed to support new and emerging artists in their chosen field. The annual awards prize fund is £2,500.

Nemetschek Vectorworks invites designers worldwide to enter a global redesign competition called “Your World, Reimagined”. “Your World, Reimagined” asks professional and student designers to tackle an old, dilapidated, or run-down locale and redesign it for a new, improved use. Entries can range in focus from adaptive reuse to landscape reclamation or object redesign. Winners will be selected by a panel of judges from around the world. Awards will be given for Best Overall Design Concept, Best Computer Rendering, Best Animation, Best 2D Plan and Best 3D Modeling.

The SCHLINGEL International Children’s Film Festival is calling for entries for its 18th edition, scheduled for 14-20 October 2013 in Chemnitz, Germany. The Festival conceives itself as a platform for brand new international children’s and youth films in Germany. PhotoVisa 2013, the 5th International Festival of Photography has recently opened its annual photography competition for entries. Themed “Climate. The Changes”, this year’s competition is all about the global changes on Earth we witness, in the time we live in. The PhotoVisa competition is held in three stages. Photographers from Russia and abroad are invited to join and get a chance to present their work in the city of Krasnodar in Russia.

Marking its 10th anniversary the Princeton Student Film & Video Festival is calling for entries for 2013. This year’s festival is scheduled for 17-18 July 2013. The festival is accepting film submissions from youth between the ages of 14-25. There is no fee to enter. Selected student filmmakers will be invited to introduce and talk about their works during the 10th annual festival, a popular two-night event intended for teen and adult audiences.

The Loughborough University Design School is hosting an international competition for designing a better laundry process. Designers are invited to create a more sustainable and suitable laundry process for a given context using design guidelines from international research. The contest is open to all creative types from all locations. Prizes include a Nexus 7 tablet as well as a possible industry presentations (TBC).

The Yeiser Arts Center (YAC) has recently opened the Call for Entries for Inter-Act – an art exhibition for works that include interactive components. YAC is reviewing artist portfolios whose interactive work include components for both 2D and 3D art. Submissions are open to all artists who are 18 years and older.

Corel has recently launched the 2013 CorelDRAW International Design Contest. Until 30 June 2013, users from around the world can submit work they created using CorelDRAW and Corel PHOTO-PAINT X6. With six categories and over $100,000 US in prizes available, this year’s Design Contest aims to celebrate the creativity and versatility of the CorelDRAW community. Three winners, including one grand-prize winner, will be chosen for each category, resulting in a total of 18 winners.
