The Spanish Ceramic Tile Manufacturers’ Association ASCER has launched the 12th (2013) Tile of Spain Awards in Architecture and Interior Design. This Competition is designed to recognize a piece of work in the field of architecture and interior design which uses ceramic tiles made in Spain and it will distinguish the building work which best enhance the new applications, advantages and versatility of this material as well reflects the most innovative reinterpretation of ceramics in architectural and decorative projects. The Awards have a prize fund of 39,000 Euro divided in three categories. The two main categories are Architecture and Interior Design, each one is awarded 17,000 Euro. The third category is Degree Project category, which is aimed to students of Architecture and it is awarded 5,000 Euro. The main requirement to participate in the competition is the use of ceramic tiles made in Spain, for the submitted projects.
