The Museum of Flight in Seattle, Washington is once again accepting submissions for its annual Spirit of Flight juried photography exhibition. Exhibit participation is open to all photographers, and photographs need only reflect the photographer’s interpretation of the “Spirit of Flight”. A jury of museum staff and volunteers will select a number of photographs to go on display in the Museum’s Great Gallery. The show will run from 6 June-31 August, 2014. In addition to being on display for the Spirit of Flight Exhibition, three prize-winning images from the show will be featured in the Museum magazine, Aloft. Each of the prize-winning photographers will also receive a one year membership to the Museum.

The Victor Pinchuk Foundation and the PinchukArtCentre have opened the application procedure for the fourth (2014) edition of the Future Generation Art Prize. The Future Generation Art Prize is a worldwide contemporary art prize to discover, recognize and give long-term support to a future generation of artists. The winner receives a total of $100,000: $60,000 as a cash award, and $40,000 towards the production of new work. An additional $20,000 is allocated to fund artist-in-residency programmes for up to five Special prize-winners. Young artists up to 35 wherever they live and work are eligible to apply for free.
