Frieze is pleased to announce the introduction of the Frieze Artist Award 2014, a major new opportunity to create and present site-specific artwork at Frieze London. The award is now open for entries, to both UK and international artists between 25–40 years of age. Artists are invited to propose a new work to be realized at Frieze London 2014 and produced under the auspices of Frieze Projects. The Award will include: a production budget of up to £10,000, a research and development budget of up to £5,000, plus an artist’s fee, per diems and travel expenses.

The Call for Entries of the PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival 2014 has recently been opened and young video-makers around the world are invited to submit their works. The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) again invite the world’s youth (9-25) to submit original and creative videos focusing on PLURAL+ themes: migration, diversity and social inclusion. The Morton Group announces the “Russian Character” International Architecture Competition to develop the concept for a Culture & Education Center. The Center will become the main cultural venue in the Butovo Park residential district, a place for recreation and communication for local residents. The competition is aimed at finding new elements, forms and images that embody contemporary Russian architecture. Individual architects and creative teams from Russia and abroad are invited to participate.
