Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency is currently accepting entries for the Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest for young photojournalists aged 18 to 33. Photographs can be submitted in 4 categories: Top News, Current Issues, Sports and Everyday Life. The jury will award three prizes in each category as well as a Grand Prize. The Grand Prize winner will receive 500,000 rubles. (7,000+ Euro). The contest seeks to draw public attention to photojournalism and to support young photographers. It gives members of the global photo community the opportunity to reach a wider audience, support high standards in photojournalism, and establish documentary photography quality standards internationally.

Koelnmesse – the international trade fair and exhibition center – is organizing a design competition for “garden unique”, the premium area of spoga+gafa, and welcoming submissions that represent the theme of “Outdoor Living”. Designers and design students who have graduated within the last three years are eligible to participate in the competition. Design teams are also invited to participate, though with some limitations. Up to 15 young designers (individuals or groups) will be selected and invited to exhibit as part of the “garden unique” competition. During the trade fair there will be 3 winners selected and awarded by the Jury and 1 by the public.
