The 2015 G2 Green Earth Film Fest has recently opened for submissions, accepting environmentally-focused films from all filmmakers worldwide. The G2 Gallery will host its third annual G2 Green Earth Film Festival over two weekends in October, screening eco-conscious films by artists of all experience levels, from award-winning professionals to aspirational high school students. For the first time, prizes will be awarded to the best films in the short and feature categories, totaling more than $1,000.

The 2015 SLANT Open International Landscape Design Competition – themed “Testing The Water” – is now open for entry by designers around the world. This is the 6th annual SLANT competition and you are invited to design a ‘virtual space’ which will have water as its central theme. The theme is open to your interpretation, so how you choose to design with water, and how much or how little water you chose to include is entirely up to you. You can place your imagined/virtual plot anywhere in the world and in so doing you are always designing in a geographical, topographical, climatic and cultural environment of your own choosing. You are also not limited in any way by budget, however designs must be ‘reasonably practical’, and should not be harmful to the environment. There will be nine (9) merit awards and two (2) cash prizes on offer for the best designs. The total cash prize fund is 700 Euro.
