The ARCH+ Journal, in the context of the UN-Habitat III Conference, is hosting an international competition called Planetary Urbanism – Critique of the Present in the Medium of Information Design. The Competition is supported by the Federal Foreign Office, Germany consulted by the German Advisory Council on Global Change (WBGU). The Planetary Urbanism competition is about casting light on the current problems of the urbanization process, indicating strategies in the approach to these problems and presenting more advanced concepts of urbanization. ARCH+ will award 20,000 Euro in prize money for visualizations, developed on the basis of empirical material, of data and facts.
