The Young Package 2016 International Competition of Packaging Design — themed: “Package Unlimited!” — has opened registration and invites students and young designers no older than 30 to take part. The organizers are looking for imaginative, multi-functional and detailed packages that can be used for several purposes. The challenge is to create innovative packages and show how packaging doesn’t have to end up in the trash. Think of a package that blooms after use, a special pencil case, or a package that becomes part of the product after opening. The best three designs in each of the two competition categories will be awarded with prize money. There are a total of almost 3,000 Euro available and this year, a special three week internship prize will also be awarded.
