Bow Seat has recently opened its 2016 Ocean Awareness Student Contest to once again bring the attention to Ocean Pollution through creative works done by students. The Ocean Awareness Student Contest is for middle and high school students who want to use their creative skills – in the Art, Poetry, Prose, or Film divisions – to communicate ocean science and take a stand for environmental issues. The 2016 theme is “Making Meaning out of Plastic Pollution” with over $80,000 in prizes and scholarships. Top winners and their schools receive $1,500 and opportunities to exhibit and publish their work.
