The Shriekfest Horror/SciFi Film Festival calls for entries for its 2016 event, scheduled for 6th–9th October at the legendary Raleigh Studios in California. Shriekfest continues its tradition as Los Angeles’ Premier horror film event, presenting an exciting program of films each fall, with beautiful Los Angeles as its backdrop. Entries are accepted in five categories: narrative feature, narrative short, narrative super short, feature screenplay, and short screenplay; and prizes will be awarded to the winning filmmaker in each category.

Creative Quarterly (CQ) magazine’s 43rd international juried competition has recently opened entry to art directors, graphic designers, photographers, illustrators and fine artists, as well as students in all countries. Commissioned and personal works completed in the past six months are eligible for submission. Winners will appear in the Summer issue of Creative Quarterly and be exhibited in CQ’s online gallery. Winners will also be entered in the Magazine’s year-end juried competitions where the top 100 pieces for 2016 are selected.
