Filmmakers from across the globe are being invited to enter their work for the Revelation Perth International Film Festival in 2017. Revelation is regarded as one of the most exciting independent film festivals in Australia and will run from 6-19 July, 2017 in Perth. The Festival offers a wholly unique take on the traditional film festival circuit, with critical discussion, creative debate and an open exchange of ideas. Alongside the screening of over 140 films are workshops, networking opportunities and Australia’s only academic conference held in partnership with a film festival.

Fest Anča International Animation Festival has launched call for entries for its 10th (2017) edition. Animated short films, student films, music videos and films for children are among the competition categories. Only those submitters whose digital copies are sent before 26 February 2017 will be considered for the festival. The submission is free and winners are awarded with a cash prize.

The call for entries for 2017, for BP Portrait Award — the most prestigious portrait painting competition in the world — has been opened. This competition represents the very best in contemporary portrait painting and is open to everyone aged 18 and over. This time, the total prize fund amounts to £61,000, of which £30,000 are reserved for the First Prize winner.

The present contest is a search for talents who would – in collaboration with industries who use local materials – add value to their production. The 2017 competition for the biannual Moriyama RAIC International Architecture Prize is now open for entries from architects worldwide. The Moriyama RAIC International Prize celebrates a single work of architecture that is judged to be transformative within its societal context. The Prize consists of a monetary award of CAD $100,000 and a sculpture by Canadian designer Wei Yew. Up to three student scholarships, each in the amount of CAD $5,000, will be awarded as well.

Omi International Arts Center is accepting application for 2017, for its annual international residency programs and invites artists from around the world to apply. Omi seeks to foster an environment of creative exploration and exchange, professional opportunity and exposure, and a stylistically and culturally diverse community for creative artists from around the world. This year a total of 95 artists will be invited to take part in several different Omi’s residency programs, in Columbia County, New York.

The challenge is to create a space to reflect personally and in the same breath, share that experience with others. Can taking a PAUSE and connecting to nature answer the questions that TED is exploring? Prizes include one Conference Pass to TED2017, airfare to Vancouver from a North American airport and accommodation in Vancouver for the length of the pavilion installation and TED conference.
