The European Fashion Award FASH 2019, aimed at particularly gifted design students from all disciplines, from the fields of fashion and textile, is open for entries. FASH is one of the most important international awards for fashion students. The exclusive and interactive format focuses on the promotion of young talent in fashion design. The prize winners will in addition not only receive prize money totaling 5,000 Euros, but also intensive, individually tailored coaching, media work and other attractive prizes such as a paid internship at the workwear manufacturer Engelbert Strauss.

The Epson Internationa Pano Awards competition, which showcases the work of panoramic photographers worldwide, is now open for entries for 2019. As one of the largest international competitions for panoramic photography and open to both amateur and professional photographers, the competition is held for the 10th time. The prize pool for 2019 is worth over $50,000 and includes $10,000 (US) in cash.

The VADON Association (from Saint George of Covasna County, Romania) announces the 6th TransNatura International Nature Photo Contest. The application is open — amateur as well as professional photographers are invited from all over the world, except the members of the jury and the organizers. The basic requirement is that the recordings have to be made of natural habitats without disturbing the wildlife. The organizes will award a total of 3,400 Euro to a Grand Prize winner and three category winners in two competition categories. The Grand Prize (TransNatura Award) is 1,000 Euro. The award-winning pictures and other selected works will be exhibited on 4th October 2019.

Photometria International Photography Festival opens its doors for the 11th consecutive year and its “I Have a Dream” competition. Participants are invited to interpret the theme “I Have a Dream” in only one original picture photo. The first prize of the competition is a Olympus E-PL8 14-42 EZ. Three other prizes are available as well. One of the three winners has the opportunity to participate in the next year’s festival with a solo exhibition.

Non Architecture Competitions is accepting entries for their 10th international design competition — Re-Draw: Casa da Música — dedicated to iconic architecture. The aim of the “Re-Draw” competition is to develop one visual to ‘represent’ an iconic architecture. The Museum of Contemporary Art – Skopje, Faculty of Architecture – Skopje and City of Skopje are hosting an international architectural competition for arranging the Kale Hill in Skopje. The Competition for preparation of preliminary urban and architectural development design for arrangement of the Kale Hill in Skopje constitutes an integral part of the project Kale – Cultural Fortress, with the goal of encouraging the revitalization and spatial arrangement of the Kale Hill into an attractive and vibrant city attraction with various cultural, educational and recreational functions. The total amount of the prize fund for the competition is 300,000 MKD (approximately $5,500), of which 150,000 MKD are reserved for the First prize. The prize fund is provided by the City of Skopje, from the budget of the “ROCK” project.

The Luz y Vanguardias festival at Salamanca is accepting registrations for its international video mapping contest for 2019, open to creators and companies devoted to audiovisual arts and videomapping. This time, during the nights of the 13th to the 16th of June, 2019, participants will show their works specifically designed to merge with the baroque architecture of the facade of the City Hall of Salamanca. A total of 18,000 Euros will be awarded in two separate prizes.

TAM-TAM institute in collaboration with Radio Student launches the 12th International Competition in designing a city poster on the topic of the Crisis of the Media. The competition aims to encourage individuals to exercise greater critical judgement in assessing information served up by the mass media. The winning poster will be printed and published on 500 TAM-TAM city posters across Slovenia. The winner receives Plaktivat’s MEGAFON and a winning plaque.
