Young artists from Central Eastern Europe, aged up to 30 are invited to submit their applications for the Young European Artist Trieste Contemporanea Award 2019. Since 1999, the Trieste Contemporanea Committee assigns the Young European Artist Trieste Contemporanea Award to a young artist from Central Eastern Europe with the aim of promoting her or his work on the international art scene. The award gives the winner the opportunity of conceiving and developing a solo show for the Trieste Contemporanea’s exhibition space in Trieste, Italy. The artist will also have a catalogue published and will benefit from professional exposure as a consequence of the award.

Japan Graphic Designers Association (JAGDA) is inviting students from all parts of the world to enter its Poster Award competition for 2019. The JAGDA International Student Poster Award is a B1 size poster competition that can be described as the starting point for graphic design in Japan. The theme for 2019 is “Line”. The Grand Prix and Gold recipients will be invited to the awards ceremony on Friday, 6 December 2019 and their prize winning works will be published in the annual book “Graphic Design in Japan 2020”.

Now in its eight year, the LuganoPhotoDays festival is accepting entries for its Photo Contest for 2019, which is open to all adult photographers worldwide. This year the photo contest has two categories: Reportage and documentary and Wildlife and nature. For both categories participants have to submit a serie (or more) composed from 6 to 12 photos. The total value of the prizes is more than 10,000 CHF, of which 3,000 CHF are reserved for “Premio Città di Lugano” – a prize offered by the City of Lugano.

Stereohype launches its 15th annual Button Badge Design Competition (STBBDC), calling for fresh designs for 2019 from all parts of the world. Blooom Award by Warsteiner, Germany’s largest open international young artist award, is open to any discipline of artistic expression. The competition is open to any discipline of artistic expression and to submissions from all around the world. Five finalists are chosen to present their artworks in a special exhibition. The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) is accepting submissions for its 8th International Student Tall Building Design Competition. The goal of the competition, which is open to all students who are currently enrolled at the university level, is to shed new light on the meaning and value of tall buildings in modern society. The top finalists will present in real time for winning distinctions at the CTBUH 2019 World Congress to be held in Chicago, from 28 October to 2 November, 2019. The total prize fund for 2019 is valued at more than $21,000.

Sunny Art Centre is accepting submissions for 2019, for its international art competition – the Sunny Art Prize. Submissions are welcome from all over the world. The diversity of the prize is also reflected by the variety of art practices it represents, from two-dimensional work such as paintings, drawings and photography to three-dimensional sculptures and ceramics, as well as contemporary installations, mixed media artworks, video and digital work. A total cash of £6,000 will be awarded to the art prize winners, £3,000 of which are reserved for the First Prize winner. First Prize winner solo exhibition and group exhibitions will also be held at the Sunny Art Centre in London and at partner art galleries in China.
