This year’s topic is “Transformation“. 10-20 artists will be invited to present their work in the festival’s central exhibition, and will also be featured on the website and in the festival catalog.

PinchukArtCentre announces the 6th edition of the Future Generation Art Prize – widely acknowledged as a springboard for emerging talent. The main prize winner receives US $100,000 split between a $60,000 cash prize and a $40,000 investment in their practice. A further $20,000 is awarded as a special prize/s between up to five artists at the discretion of the jury for supporting projects that develop their artistic practice. A highly respected selection committee appointed by a distinguished international jury reviews every application and nominates 20 artists for the shortlist. These artists will be commissioned to create new works on view in exhibitions at the PinchukArtCentre in Kyiv and the Venice Biennale.

The 2020 Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Student Contest, themed: Climate Hope: Transforming Crisis, has opened for entry to participants worldwide. Climate Hope: Transforming Crisis invites students to learn about the climate crisis and its impact on oceans; discover or imagine solutions at local, national, or global scales; and create work that explores hope in action. More than $5,000 will be awarded in 2020, in total. Gold, Silver and Bronze Award winners, as well as Honorable Mention winners will be announced in each contest division. Several other special awards will be announced as well.

The Taiwan International Student Design Competition (TISDC) 2020, on the theme “Action.“, has been announced and scheduled for 1st May—30th June, 2020. All students, who currently enroll in senior high schools or above, are invited to prepare their best work and participate in the competition. The total prize fund for 2020 is more than NT$4,500,000 in prize money — approximately NT$400,000 of which are reserved for the winner of the Grand Prix. Trophies and certificates will also be awarded.

The Florida Museum оf Photographic Arts (FMoPA) has put out a call to photographers to participate in its 10th annual International Photography Competition. Photographers from all over the world are invited to submit their work. All styles and levels of experience are welcome. Best in Competition submission will receive $1,000, be considered for public art exhibition on a billboard, be part of a group exhibition at FMoPA, and taken into consideration for a solo exhibition at FMoPA.

Now in its 6th year, the annual ON PAPER International Printmaking Award is seeking for entries for 2020. The competition has been created to promote the art of printmaking and connect printmakers around the world. One award of 1000 Euro will be awarded to the the winning artist. There’s also a second prize of 300 Euro. The shortlisted artists will have their work exhibited in Tinta Invisible (Barcelona, Spain) in July 2020.

4Tomorrow is pleased to announce that poster for tomorrow’s 11th edition, “Fake News – 2020 Vision”, is now officially open for entries. The competition’s aim is to promote graphic design as a tool for social change. The best 100 designs (selected by the jury) will be rewarded by including them in the “Fake News” exhibition, as part of an event called “Paris Poster Biennale”, that will be held in a series of cities around the world.
