The Gravity Festival invites professional and non-professional photographers from all around the world to participate in the 2021 Gravity Photo Contest. The topic of the contest is “the beauty of nature” in its broadest sense. Its purpose, as the underlying graffiti festival, is to raise awareness of the gravity of the ecological situation. The 20 finalists will be exhibited at Yann Arthus-Bertrand’s Foundation GoodPlanet in Paris. All twenty finalists will receive a diploma and the best three works will be awarded with monetary and non-monetary prizes.

The enrollment for the Golden Turtle 2021 creative competitions has been officially opened and authors around the world are invited to enter their best work. The Golden Turtle Festival is the largest international eco-educational project, bringing together photographers, designers and artists celebrating the beauty of the wildlife. Verzasca Foto Festival is accepting entries for its Nera di Verzasca 2021 photography competition and invites all amateur and professional photographers to participate. The Nera di Verzasca Prize is an open theme photo contest for amateur and professional photographers. One 1st place prize winner will be awarded 2,000 Swiss Francs (approximately 1,850 Euro / 2,244 Dollars US), a solo exhibition from the 2nd September to 5th October 2021 in Sonogno, Switzerland and will be invited to the 2021 Verzasca Foto Festival. The organizers will also invite the ten finalists to project their work during the festival + free board and lodging during the four days of the festival (please note that lodging is depending on the sanitary situation).

The Alpine Fellowship Foundation is accepting applications for 2021, for its Visual Arts Prize competition — open to all artists aged 18 and above. The prize is awarded for the best visual arts response to the theme: Untamed: On Wilderness and Civilization. The winner will receive a £2,000 cash prize and a further £1,000 towards the artist’s travel, and the shipping and installation of their work at the symposium in Fjällnäs.
