The 18th Festival of Art on Billboards – Art Moves is calling for entries to the 2025 International Billboard Art Competition, open to all the interested people, artists and students. The artwork is supposed to be a creative response to this year’s competition theme: Love or anxiety? How can we stop escaping and take responsibility for our own fate and the fate of the world? The author of the winning entry will receive the Main Award in the amount of PLN 6,000 (about EUR 1,404, USD 1,615).

DBF are looking for a vertical design that can be featured on T-shirts, posters, flyers, and digital media.

The Busan Metropolitan City and Design Council Busan are launching the “Public Space Design Project 2,” a two-stage international design competition with a substantial prize pool of KRW 150,000,000. The competition, themed “A Pause by the River”, invites design teams to propose innovative Place Making and Public Goods designs for a designated area within Busan. The competition operates in two distinct phases. Initially, two teams will be selected based on the merit of their initial applications, submitted between 2nd June 2025 and 30th June 2025. Following this selection, the two chosen teams will then develop and submit detailed design proposals by 18th August 2025, for a final judging.

The Little Big Loo – Rethinking Public Toilets competition invites ideas that can be used to disrupt the perception of public toilets with the most innovative and efficient solution for this serious issue plaguing our future. Rapid population growth in urban areas usually gets coupled with poor planning of physical and social infrastructure along with a lack of individual and communal sanitary consciousness. The rural areas in many developing countries face a lot of problems caused by poor sanitation facilities such as pollution of water sources, a high rate of waterborne diseases, and high expenditures on curative health care. Owing to the dire importance of communal sanitation and hygiene, there is an urgent need to develop an integrated approach concerning the development of public health services. The best ideas will be awarded with a total of $4,500 and certificates. Winners and Honorable Mentions will also be published on Volume Zero website and several international architecture and design magazines.

The SISS Open Call invites emerging artists and collectives under 35 to submit completed works exploring the relationship between sound and image.
