The Bogliasco Foundation is currently accepting applications for its Fall 2027 & Spring 2028 residential fellowships. Bogliasco Fellowships are awarded to artists and scholars in the various disciplines of the Arts and Humanities (Archaeology, Architecture, Classics, Dance, Film/Video, History, Landscape Architecture, Literature, Music, Philosophy, Public Humanities, Theater, and Visual Arts). During their month long stay at the Center, Bogliasco Fellows are provided with living quarters, full board, and a and a work space or separate studio, depending on the discipline.

The call for entries to the C-IDEA Design Award 2027 has opened to designers from all parts of the world. Organized by the International Design Educator Group (C-IDEA), the award is the world’s annual juried design competition, recognizing and promoting visionary talents across a wide array of fields ranging from communication design, industrial design, architecture, interior design, fashion design, and new media. Winners receive a printable award certificate, the right to use the C-IDEA Design Award 2027 logo, opportunities for inclusion in the award yearbook and for international media coverage, and a free admission ticket to the award ceremony. Nominated designs are presented in an exhibition and the yearbook.

The Poster for___ project has opened the 6th edition of the Poster for___ International Poster Competition, inviting designers and artists from around the world to submit poster designs addressing social, environmental, cultural, and technological themes. The competition is structured around six categories. Selected works are exhibited on billboards in Times Square, New York City, and in previous editions have been shown in Beijing, Qingdao, King of Prussia, and Dalian.

The call for entries for the Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer Portrait Award 2027 is now open. Organized by the National Portrait Gallery and supported by headline sponsor Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer, the annual competition invites painters from around the world to submit new portraits for the chance to be exhibited at the Gallery in London. Now in its 45th year, the Portrait Award is one of the most important platforms for portrait painters. The best works will be awarded with cash prizes and inclusion in the Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer Portrait Award 2027 exhibition, which will be displayed at the National Portrait Gallery from 24 June to 10 October 2027.

Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) has opened its call for submissions for 2027, scheduled from 13-23 May at SIFF Cinemas and venues throughout the region. In 2027, the Seattle International Film Festival will be celebrating 53 years of presenting the best in international and independent films from around the globe. Every year, SIFF gives out the Golden Space Needle Audience Awards for Best Narrative Film, Best Documentary Film, Best Director, Best Performance, and Best Short Film, and the Lena Sharpe Award for Persistence of Vision (presented by Women in Film Seattle, this audience award is given to the feature film by a woman director that receives the most votes in our Golden Space Needle balloting). In addition, SIFF sponsors nine (8) juried awards, awarding over $30,000 in cash prizes.
