The 9th Cologne International Videoart Festival (CologneOFF IX) to be launched in September 2013 is looking for experimental film, videoart, experimental documentary, art & animation and 60 second videos from all countries on the globe. CologneOFF IX has no specific motto or topic, but refers to the general theme “Memory & Identity” and themes of previous festival editions like (art & the city). Like previous festival editions also the new one will become the basis for the nomadic festival project – CologneOFF 20XX videoart in a global context – aimed to travel 2013/2014 around the globe to the best venues presenting the diversity in the field of “art and moving images” transported via the medium of “video”.

Cologne International Videoart Festival is currently accepting videoart works for its upcoming eight edition. The festival is calling for new and experimental artistic approaches in transforming issues of human rights & dignity and related fields into the language of the “moving images”. The 8th edition of Cologne International Videoart Festival will be launched in September 2012 and will run in the framework of the nomadic festival project “CologneOFF 2012 – videoart in a global context”. Single channel videos by film and videomakers from all countries around the globe are welcome for this call.
