As part of the Dell Social Innovation Challenge, RGK Center for Philanthropy and Community Service has recently launched a brand-new competition called Dell Empowering Women Challenge (DEWC). Open to any university student, from any country, male or female, graduate or undergraduate, in any field of study Dell is offering $35,000 for ideas that empower, educate, and create business opportunities for women and girls worldwide. The intent and spirit of the Competition is to test and help improve the social innovation skills of the student entrants.

The 2013 Dell Social Innovation Challenge is now open for ideas for innovations with the potential for a clear social impact in any issue area. The Dell Social Innovation Challenge (DSIC) identifies and supports promising young social innovators who dedicate themselves to solving the world’s most pressing problems with their transformative ideas. University students are provided with world-class teaching and training, as well as with start-up capital and access to a network of mentors and advisors. The Challenge is open for university students from around the globe.
