Forest Europe is pleased to invite you to the 2014 edition of the Show Off Your Forest photography contest. The protective role of forests, and how, in turn, we can protect them, is the central theme of this, second edition of Show Off Your Forest photography contest. The organizers invite you to show, with the aid of one or several photos, the benefits forests provide us with and how they protect us; what threats they face and what would happen if they weren’t protected; how they are being protected and how you can protect them. The winners of the Show Off Your Forest photography competition — the first prize winners in both competition categories — will be given a trip for two to a protected forest area in Spain. The prize includes the airfare and hotel accommodation, in addition to a guide who will accompany the winners on their visit to the nature park. The prize is worth over 1,500 Euro.

Forest Europe has launched a new photography contest called “Show Off Your Forest”. The competition is open to all individuals over the age of 18, who like forests. “Show Off Your Forest” hopes to exhibit the three cornerstones that are the basis of the Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) promoted by Forest Europe at a pan-European level. Photographs and videos can be submitted. There are three separate categories for photography entries – Economic; Socio-cultural and Environmental – as for the videos, they must highlight the socio-cultural, economic and environmental aspects of pan-European forests.
