The third edition of the Vienna International Photo Awards (VIPA) annual documentary photography competition is now open for entries for 2014. VIPA’s mission is to draw more attention to documentary photography in Austria and worldwide. As a host, the Kunstnetzwerk network is inviting all documentary photographers around the world to enter their best work and compete for a total of 9,000 Euro in prizes! The annual documentary photography competition, Vienna International Photo Awards 2013 – VIPA – is now open for entries. This competition has a mission to draw more attention to documentary photography in Austria and worldwide. The theme is free and submissions will be judged in 3 categories: Professional, Amateur & Smartphone. Besides the total value of 9.000 Euro in money prizes, the short-listed winners will be published in the VIPA’s official catalogue and take part in a group exhibition in Vienna.

KUNSTNETZWERK (modern contemporary art gallery and network), Raed Bawayah (photographer), in collaboration with Eyes-On – European Month of Photography Vienna, are pleased to announce the Open Call for the 1st edition of the Vienna International Photographic Awards – VIPA 2012 – for documentary photography. Professional, non-professional and student photographers from any country are eligible to enter. VIPA 2012 will sum up with €7000 in money prizes, group exhibition and an award ceremony in November 2012 in Vienna.
