Olympus America has recently opened its 11th Annual BioScapes Competition (2014), a dynamic international photo competition that honors the world’s most extraordinary microscope images of life science subjects, using any magnification, any illumination technique and any brand of equipment. First Prize is the winner’s choice of Olympus microscope or camera equipment valued at $5,000. Nine additional winners will also receive valuable prizes from Olympus, and many more will receive recognition as honorable mentions. Each person entering can submit up to five movies, images, or image sequences (such as time lapse series) and entries must include information on the importance or “story” behind the images.

Olympus America has recently opened the 10th (2013) edition of its BioScapes International Digital Imaging Competition and is now accepting the world’s most extraordinary microscope images of life science subjects. Through BioScapes, Olympus America recognizes outstanding images of life science specimens captured through light microscopes, using any magnification, any illumination technique and any brand of equipment. The Competition is open to anyone who is at least 18 years of age as of the date of entry.
